Persephone is the continuation of my series “the disappointment”. In Persephone I look back at my youth. Dreaming, fantasizing, fairy tales, drawing, crafting, dressing up, playing stand next to restrained anger, fear, loneliness and sadness. It was both there. A light and a dark side.

That is why I chose Persephone as a heroine. She is cheerful, playful and sunny as the goddess of spring and her other side, that of queen of the underworld, is dark and heavy and sometimes depressed. Exactly as I think of myself in my youth.
