Inanna
Inanna is the story of the goddess Inanna who visits her sister in the underworld. Inanna is rich and lives in luxury and on the way to the underworld she has to surrender all her wealth, as a means of payment to be let through. In this way she arrives naked in the underworld, stripped of her clothes, ego and masks. Ready to meet her sister / her shadow. This story ends in different ways in different versions. Sometimes very horrible. But for me it’s about the journey. Not the end.
This series are the different phases of the process that I went through to face a fear I had. I made the images with a slow shutter speed in which I always took two different poses and then stood very still. By doing this I tried to capture the movement in the emotions. To strengthen the phase. So these are not two photos together but each time one shot with two poses.
